Nick Cave revela cuáles son sus libros favoritos

Nick Cave enumeró sus 50 libros favoritos respondiendo en el blog personal de Red Hand Files a un fan que le pidió este listado especial.

Dentro de la selección encontramos grandes clásicos como Moby Dick de Melville, Victory de Joseph Conrad, Pale Fire de Vladimir Nabokov, pasando por el espléndido noir de Jim Thompson, The Killer Inside Me, el gótico meridional A Good Man is Hard to Find por Flannery O’Connor y Sanctuary de William Faulkner.

Sobre esta lista con sus libros favoritos, Nick Cave dijo: «En una situación normal, para responder a una pregunta así, simplemente echaría un vistazo a mi estantería eligiendo cuarenta libros de allí. En este momento, sin embargo, mis estantes están completamente vacíos. Los más de 5000 libros que he acumulado a lo largo de los años han sido enviados a la Biblioteca Real de Dinamarca en Copenhague».

Actualmente, los volúmenes de la voz de The Bad Seeds forma parte de la exposición llamada Stranger Than Kindness. «Sin mi biblioteca ante mis ojos, es difícil para mí hacer una lista completa de mis 50 libros favoritos. Lo mejor que puedo hacer es armar uno, más bien sin forma e inconsistente, con los títulos que me vienen a la mente en este momento y que, por una razón u otra, he amado a lo largo de los años».
