La joven cantante Yakoto (un elepé ‘Tamba’ en 2011 y un álbum ‘Babyblues ‘ en 2012), ha nacido en Alemania pero se ha criado en Ghana, transcurriendo gran parte de su juventud entre Camerún, Togo y Ciad.
‘Without You’, realizado en colaboración con el cantante y cantautor noruego Tom Hugo, no es en realidad un nuevo single: es una de las canciones más importantes de su primer disco lanzado en 2012 pero gracias al nuevo videoclip ahora Yakoto se prepara para presentarse en otros países, a parte Francia y Alemania, donde ya ha conseguido un discreto éxito a nivel comercial.
Este tema es muy peculiar y podemos notar los diferentes matices soul, herencia de sus ídolos musicales (Erykah Badu, Nina Simone y Billie Holiday) pero al mismo tiempo con elementos modernos y seguramente muy radiofónicos.
