Mali Music, famoso en Estados Unidos gracias a la canción “Beautiful”, ha colaborado con la cantante R’n’B Jhené Aiko en el single “Contradiction”, incluido en la banda sonora del film ‘Chi-Raq’ estrenado durante el pasado mes de diciembre.
El single comienza con un beat que recuerda algunos lugares calientes de América Latina antes de dejar sitio al rap de Mali que estalla en el estribillo con toda su fuerza, demostrando sus grandes dotes interpretativas.
En la segunda estrofa la magnifica voz de Jhené nos cautiva definitivamente: realmente un temazo.
No hay elementos de disturbio, inútiles embellecedores: una gran canción R’n’B con matices urban que sorprende por la sencillez con que se ha realizado su arreglo y producción.
Sobre el vídeo de ‘Contradiction’, Mali Music ha declarado:
“Un vídeoclip puede rodarse por muchas razones y con muchos objetivos… Hemos llegado a ser tan insensibles a la violencia que la gente puede desaparecer de nuestras vidas sin que nos demos cuenta. Por ello a veces es necesario chillar, para despertar o intentar despertar las conciencias de las personas”.
