Durante el evento organizado en la Casa Blanca, con espectadores el presidente Barack Obama y su mujer Michelle, la cantante Ariana Grande ha ofrecido al publico una intensa versión de ‘I Have Nothing’ de Whitney Houston que puede escuchar a continuación (con la letra más abajo):
‘Women of Soul’ es una manifestación dedicada a algunas entre las voces soul más famosas de Estados Unidos y Ariana Grande, a lo largo del show, ha sido acompañada por otras artistas muy importantes, del calibre de Tessanne Chin y Areth Franklin.
La joven cantante, como es posible ver en el video, no pudo contener su propia emoción pero ha demostrado, una vez más, sus grandes dotes vocales interpretando, antes, la ya mencionada versión de Whitney Houston (fallecida en Los Ángeles el 11 de febrero de 2012) y después ‘Tattooed Heart’ una de las canciones incluidas en su último disco ‘Yours Truly’ . Una vez terminada la exhibición, el publico se levantó ovacionando a la cantante.
‘I Have Nothing’ de Whitney Houston fue lanzado como tercer sencillo de la banda sonora de la película ‘The Bodyguard’ de 1993 protagonizada por la misma estrella del soul y Kevin Costner y es, sin dudas, una de las canciones más elegantes de Whitney.
